Apartment Review for Kentview Garden Apartments - Grand Rapids, MI

CONS: Walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors speaking, their television, and their toilet flushing. Each apartment only comes with one assigned parking spot, which often times is stolen by someone's friend. But, there are three "free" spots ripe for the taking if this happens (and they aren't already taken). It's located on the corner of two very busy streets (and a fire station, which can be loud). The appliances (at least in my apartment)are pretty dated, but get the job done (although probably not so energy efficiently). I hate the laundry room in the basement. The washers are TINY and expensive. The dryers DO NOT dry clothes well. However, there is a public laundromat about two blocks from here, which I have used...although, its clientele are very shady. PROS: It's close to downtown. It's cheap, and heat and water are currently included in the price. Each apartment has a balcony. There is free wifi. The carpet was replaced prior to moving in. After I cleaned the hell out of it when I moved in, it is fine. There aren't any bug problems. OVERALL: It's a very basic, inexpensive, low-frills apartment. I would recommend it to someone looking for a place. All of my neighbors pretty much keep to themselves, although there is one crazy lady who freaks out if anyone takes her parking spot; she will want to fight you.
