Apartment Review for Eastland Apartments - Grand Rapids, MI

I lived in this complex for 6 months a few years ago, and it was decent so I decided to move back. My first year lease was fine, but I signed for another year, and I've had tons of problems. We had power outages for 4-5 months, every 4-6 weeks for several hours. The building has had 2 fires and 2 floods, and maintenance doesn't seem to have fixed the flooding issue. Last time it flooded, they entered my apartment without asking or notifying me, and moved all my furniture. When I went to talk to the office about it, they completely blew me off, and then it happened at least 2 more times since then. I'd recommend staying away from this complex. For what you pay, you can get something VERY comparable or better at some of the other complexes that are just around the corner.
